Doxycycline 100mg Capsules are an antibiotic used to help prevent malaria when travelling to areas where the disease is common. They work by killing the malaria parasites in the blood, stopping them from multiplying and causing illness. For malaria prevention, doxycycline is started 1–2 days before entering a malaria-risk area, taken daily during the stay, and continued for 4 weeks after leaving.

The capsules should be swallowed whole with plenty of water and taken while upright to reduce the risk of irritation to the throat or stomach. Doxycycline is effective against certain drug-resistant strains of malaria and is suitable for long-term use if required.
