Adizem Capsules contain diltiazem, a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and certain heart conditions such as angina. They work by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood and improving oxygen supply to the heart muscle. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of serious complications like heart attacks and strokes.

Adizem is usually taken once or twice daily, as prescribed, and should be used regularly for the best effect. It may also help manage chest pain by preventing episodes rather than treating them once they start.
