Bendroflumethiazide Tablets are a thiazide diuretic (water tablet) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and fluid retention (oedema) caused by conditions such as heart failure. They work by helping the kidneys remove excess salt and water from the body through urine, which reduces blood volume and lowers pressure on the blood vessels.
In oedema, this helps reduce swelling in the ankles, feet, or other affected areas. Bendroflumethiazide is usually taken once daily in the morning to avoid frequent night-time urination. Lowering blood pressure with this medication helps reduce the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and other cardiovascular complications.
