Zolmitriptan Tablets are a prescription medicine used to treat acute migraine attacks, with or without aura. They belong to a group of medicines known as triptans, which work by stimulating serotonin (5-HT) receptors in the brain. This causes the blood vessels around the brain to narrow and helps block pain signals, reducing migraine symptoms such as headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound.

Zolmitriptan is designed for use at the onset of a migraine attack and can provide relief within about an hour for many patients. It is not intended to prevent migraines but offers fast, targeted relief when they occur.
